Japanese 日本語 NIHONGO

先日ラジオでそれぞれの言語の特徴をやっていたのですが、

'日本語の動詞にはそれぞれ丁寧な言い方がある'というようなことを言ってました。

そうなんです！

例えば、会うという動詞。

友達に「会った」といいますが、

先生に「会った」というとき、私たちは「お会いしました」といいます。

でも英語では

I met the teacher.

としか言いようがないですよね？あるの？あったら教えてー。

だから私は先生を前にすると全然喋れません。

Hello,how are you?

なんて凄く軽い感じがしちゃいます。

I heard the radio the other day.

It said each language had special features,and each verb could change in respectable way in Japanese.

That's right.

For example, 'meet' .

I can say ' I met my friend.' in Japanese. I say  'atta'.

But if I say 'I met my teacher ' in Japanese, I may change  'met' in respectable way. I say 'oaishimashita'

You see, it is very different.

However, in English, there are no difference.

Whomever I meet, I can say 'I met ......'

That's why I can't talk to respectable people easily.

I feel it is impolite to say 'Hello,how are you?' to teacher.

Sometimes, English sounds imprudent for me.

One of my Japanese friends came back to Japan for a while.

He gave us this Japanese sweet,  'Youkan' . Very delicious!!
