NYC 2nd day
ニューヨーク2日目です。
This is a report of 2nd day at NYC.
ニューヨークといえばベーグル♫
朝からベーグルを食べて〜
Begle is popular at NYC.
We ate bagels for breakfast.
自由の女神クルーズへ。
We took on the ship to go on a cruise.
おおおおおお！Statue of liberty!
そのあと向かったハンバーガー有名店'SHAKE SHACK '
Next, we went to a famous hamburger shop 'SHAKE SHACK'
テキサスより上品な味だあ。日本人でも食べられるわあ。
This is lighter, more simple, and more elegant than Texas hamburger.
I'm sure Japanes people like that taste.
そしてそして、グラウンド・ゼロへ。
ここは9・11のときにテロが起こった2つのWorld Trade Centerビルの跡地が祈りの場になっているところ。あの日、テレビに映った光景は忘れられません。
Then, we went to Ground Zero,where the terrorism had happened on September 11th 2001.
I can't forget about sight on the TV at that day.
ちなみにこちらは、One World Trade Centerで去年開業しました。全米一高いビルだそうです。
ほんとうに下から見上げたらすごく高かった。
すごい行列ができていました。
By the way, this is One World Trade Center which was opened last year.
This is the highest building in the U.S.
It was really high when I looked up from the bottom. There were a long line.
そのあと、ブルックリンに地下鉄で渡りました。
マンハッタンとは全然違う雰囲気。静か〜。
After that we left to Brooklyn by subway.
Brooklyn was totally different from Manhattan. That was quitet town.
雑貨屋さんとかチョコレート専門店とか本屋さんを見て…
We dropped in at general store,chocolate shop, and book store.
帰りはブルックリン橋を歩いて渡りマンハッタンへ。
Then, we walked through Brooklyn Bridge to come back to Manhattan.
そしてなぜかトレーダージョーズ(我が家の近くにもあるスーパー。チェーン店)に寄って、ニューヨーク限定エコバックを手に入れました。これは日本で買うと1000円もするらしい。こちらでは$1。
When we on our way to hotel, we dropped by the grocery store 'Trader Joe's ' and got the reusable bags. It costs about $10 in Japan although it was just $1 in the U.S.
夕飯を食べた後、一旦ホテルに戻りシャワーを浴びて、さらにそこからエンパイヤステイトビルへ！
もうこの時点で歩きすぎて足腰ガクガク。
After we had a dinner, we came back to hotel and took a shower. Then, we left again to Empire State Building! My legs and waist were sagged as I walked a lot.
夜9時頃であったにも関わらず、行列。かなり待ってやっとチケット売り場？にたどり着き、予約しておいたチケットを見せるが、ここでハプニング発生！私たちのチケットはクルーズとセットになっていて$5割引だったのに、なんとクルーズの乗り場で本物チケットと引き換えなければならない券だったのです。ガビーん！明日引き換えて、また明日来るか？と思ったんだけど夜景は今日しか見れないし、その場でチケットを買いました。$64の損失… その後も長い列は続きましたがいよいよ展望台！
There was a long line even though it was already at 9:00pm.
We got in line and waited a long time. Finally we got the ticket counter and showed our reservation tickets. But the incident had happened! Our tickets were 'combo tickets' with cruise. In fact, we should have exchange that tickets to real tickets at the cruise counter. We didn't know! We were so shocked.
We could exchange the next day, but we could see night view only that day. We couldn't help buying tickets again. We lost $64... After that there was still long line but finally, we got main deck 86th floor.
すごいでしょーーー！これは本当にきれいだった！

ちなみにこの日、私は28,000歩歩きました。
毎日300歩が平均の私……
疲れ果てました。おやすみーーー。
By the way, I walked 28,000 steps that day.
My average steps are 300 a day.
I was so tired. Good night...
